What's a domain name anyway?
There are lots of web hosting companies out there, with all kinds of different domain name & web hosting plans, it can be very confusing. WebDaddy is here to help you understand just "What the Heck" it is you need to know!
A "domain name" is the same as your "website address"
(example :: www.yoursite.com).
"Web Hosting" is a home for your website (aka :: "domain").
You must have both to build a website!
So where do you get these two things you may ask?
WebDaddy recommends using GODADDY for all of your web domain and hosting needs. They are the biggest, best, and the cheapest. You can register your "domain name" for $9 a year or less, as well as host your website for as little as $4 a month!
Webdaddy hosts all of their accounts through GoDaddy, and find them to have great customer service who understand how confusing setting up a website can be.
Webdaddy tip :: When choosing a website address (aka :: "domain name") it's best to try and keep it short, simple, and if at all possible, try to use a .COM name. The easier it is for your customers to remember your website address, the more often they will visit!
